Boston Strong / Patriots One and All

What a week for all those who live and call Boston their home.  If you are from Massachusetts, Boston is the epicenter of all that represents us as people who identify ourselves as Bostonians.

The local and federal law enforcement showed the world how a manhunt is conducted and along with the help of many citizens, identified these cowardly bastards.  These citizens and police are Patriots, one and all.

The manhunt that the world witnessed was unprecedented in the history of our country. These idiots hit us hard but they saw that they messed with the wrong city.  The swift force of justice hunted them down.

I was in the DFAC this morning while the news of the capture of the 2nd suspect played out on the TV.  A member of the local cooks was standing next to me and I proudly pointed at the TV and told him, " That's my home - These people are my tribe ! "  - As all things here are focused on tribal affiliation, I wanted to make sure he knew how proud I was of my people.

On NCIS LA, there is an episode where they were dealing with a criminal who takes out two of the NCIS staff in horrific fashion.  Agent Callen ( played by Chris ODonnell) has a heated discussion with the Deputy Director Granger as they are going to let the bad guy walk for political purposes

Callen says to Granger  "He killed our people! OUR PEOPLE !"

I and many others have experienced that same emotion this week.  I woke up Tuesday morning here in Kandahar to the news of the bombing as it happened while we were sleeping ( 8 1/2 hrs time difference).  I cried and wanted to do something but I am here in Kandahar.  I went through the same emotions when I was in Egypt on 09/11.  It is a terrible feeling of being away, being separated from all you love and desperately wanting to be there to help.  There is no way to really describe the emotions as it is an empty feeling but one of resolve to help in any way you can.

Friday was our day off and like many others, I followed the events live via SAT TV.  It was my way of coping with not being able to be there.  It went on all day and I had to go to bed to be up the next day.  Saturday morning I woke up and watched the final part of the drama play itself out.  But this is far from over as we need to know the who, what, when , where and the WHY behind all of this.

I am BOSTON Proud and always have been.  It is where my family has called home since 1635.  14 generations of my family have lived in Massachusetts and my Mom's parents both came here straight from the Old Sod of Ireland.

They hit us hard but we showed the world we are BOSTON STRONG Always & forever.

To the terrorists, you failed.  You took from us 4 gentle souls but you will not bend our will to be a beacon of Freedom.  Boston is the best city in America with the best people.
Watch the Marathon in 2014 and you will see that this tragedy will become triumph as we will not allow the cowardly bastards such as these to take away our freedom.

The 2014 Boston Marathon will be a important sign to the world that you don't mess with Boston. Ever.

SUX to be you Al Qaeda - Massive Drone Strike Hits Qaida Cop Station in Yemen

On certain days, you get up in the morning and you are trying to figure out what's going on....You're not sure as the day is still early on and there is a little too much fog left in the grey matter from the night before.

THEN, you find a bit of information that catches your attention and interjects a bit of " Well Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah ! " as some stupid idjits are finding out that there are less & less places to hide from the long arm of JUSTICE.....
AWESOME USE OF THE TECHNOLOGY DUDE !

Pour it on....no let up.....keep it coming. These feckless fools think they can hide out in the Shite-wilds and send destruction to the rest of the world are swiftly finding out that we will find them and hunt them down like the shallow b@stards they are.

It makes me recall how the USA did it back in the day, and my sentiment is perfectly in line with this President's words uttered in Congress on Dec. 8th, 1941:

"
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated (attack), the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.

I believe that I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make it very certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory, and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces, with the unbounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph -- so help us God
."

Massive Drone Strike Hits Qaida Cop Station in Yemen
By Spencer Ackerman Wired.com / Danger Room

At some point, al-Qaida is going to have to figure out that gathering in conspicuous places just means giving a big, fat, blinking red target to the killer drones hovering above.

In the latest sign of the intensifying U.S. shadow war in Yemen, drones hit a police station in Abyan Province, where fighters from al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula have flocked during the country’s ongoing political crisis. al-Qaida reportedly took over the station, prompting the drone(s) to take action.

Early reports are conflicting, but the strike might have a massive death toll attached. The New York Times says eight militants are dead, but CNN claims that the body count is at 50. Either way, there’s a lesson here: al-Qaida gatherings are drone bait.

According to stats compiled by the Long War Journal, it’s the third U.S. airstrike in Yemen this year, which really means since May. The next strike will tie the total from all of 2010.

Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula can’t say it wasn’t warned. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, the former CIA director, tells anyone who’ll listen how drone strikes, commando raids and other inconspicuous, lethal applications of force are his preferred solution to the al-Qaida problem. Same goes for incoming Special Operations Command chief Vice. Adm. William McRaven. New CIA Director David Petraeus is cool taking militants dead or alive.

Not to suggest there’s a bright side to al-Qaida’s strength in Abyan, but if the militants feel they can run the province with impunity, their operational security standards are likely to drop. The newer model Reaper drones at the U.S.’ disposal increasingly carry smaller, lighter weapons — 35 pound missiles, down from a 100-pound Hellfire — and more of them. That means more opportunities to hit more al-Qaida targets, especially if the terrorist group is going to set up conspicuous de facto bases. Maybe it’s time to rethink the concept of “safe haven.”

TALIBAN COWARDS hang a 7 year Old Afghan boy they claimed was a spy

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" - Edmond Burke

I fully believe in calling out those who perform cowardly acts. The past is littered with the downfall of groups who felt they could act with impunity and that justice would not be served.

The enclosed story garnered only scant notice outside of Afghanistan when it occurred although the level of cowardice shown by the craven thugs is beyond contempt. It is my hope that the good people of Afghanistan will be able to dispatch those who terrorize the citizens who only want to live their lives in peace.

Although the wheels of Justice move slowly, they do find and punish the evil & wicked over time. I'll be cheering when these criminals are found, tried and punished to the fullest extent of Afghan law. The Taliban are COWARDS and are condemned by all for committing acts of violence against the citizens of Afghanistan.

Taliban Hangs Afghan Boy, 7, for Spying - CBS News - 06/10/10

Taliban militants accused a seven-year-old boy of spying and hanged him earlier this week in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, a local government official tells CBS News.

Provincial government spokesman Daud Ahmadi confirmed the incident which took place on Tuesday in the Taliban stronghold of Sangin, in Helmand. Ahmadi told CBS News' Fazul Rahim the boy was hanged in public after a Taliban commander read a verdict out loud, accusing the youth of spying for international forces.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai said Thursday that, if confirmed by his national government, the hanging would be "heart breaking and shocking."

Karzai spoke in Kabul at a joint news conference with Britain's new Prime Minister David Cameron, who was in town for his first visit as head of state. Cameron said the alleged hanging would be a "horrific crime... a crime against humanity," if proven.

A local resident in the remote village of Sang e Hissar, in the Sangin valley, tells CBS News he witnessed the hanging. The man says three militants brought the boy before a crowd of about 150 people, read the short verdict, and then hanged him from a tree.

The youngster was the grandson of a respected local elder, the resident tells CBS. According to the villager, the Taliban have intensified their campaign of intimidation in the area in recent months.
A Taliban source in Helmand told CBS News' Sami Yousafzai on Thursday he was aware of the boy being killed, but that it was a case of a militant settling a personal vendetta against the boy's family, then using the spying charges as an excuse. The source said he believed the boy's executor had fled across the border to Pakistan.

The hanging comes as a Taliban commander in neighboring Kandahar province -- the Taliban's traditional home territory -- tells CBS News that a suicide attack on a wedding party that left 40 people dead was "collective punishment" for villagers standing up to the Islamic militants' control in the region.

US Navy Diver Robert Stetham's Killer gets what's coming to him....IN SPADES !

Ladies & Gents - There's GOOD NEWS tonite !!!!

Lebanese citizen Mohammad Ali Hamadeh has been killed in Saturday's U.S. drone attack on al-Qaida hideout in Pakistan's North Waziristan, the German news agency DPA reported.

DPA has it that Hamadeh returned to Lebanon in December 2005 after being secretly released in Germany, where he was serving a life sentence for the 1985 hijacking of a TWA jetliner and killing of a U.S. Navy Diver Robert Stetham.

Hamadeh had been released from a German prison in 2005 on bail after spending nearly 19 years in prison.

DPA, citing intelligence information, said Hamadeh fought along Hizbullah before moving to North Waziristan where he joined "Islamic Jihad" which has links to al-Qaida.

A U.S. drone attack on Saturday destroyed an al-Qaida hideout in North Waziristan, killing 11 militants in the tribal redoubt on the Afghan border, security officials said.

AWESOME use of the technology Dude....radical !!!

The scene from the movie " The Peacemaker" resonates....George Clooney plays Col. Thomas Devoe, a bit of an old fashioned Rogue:

Col Devoe is tracking the bad guys and the run-away nukes when he calls the bad guy on this cell phone while surveiling him via satelite:

[Devoe phones Kodoroff, who is driving a truck loaded with stolen nuclear warheads]

Devoe: You watched CNN during Desert Storm. You remember all those television shots from the nose cone of the GBU missiles slammininto those trucks? Remember that picture? How it kept gettincloser and bigger on the screen

You’d just about see the faces of those drivers and thenZap! The picture went dead, we didn’t get to see what happened next. Well guess what, Alek? You will.

To the SHITE-HEAD Terrorist bast-rd who got what was coming to him, have a nice time in Hades, where you will be spending the rest of eternity....getting what you deserve...IN SPADES.
