Obi-Wan: Who's the more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows him?

Obi-Wan: For over a thousand generations, the Jedi knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the old Republic... before the dark times... before the Empire (and Obama)...

The fact that we will waste federal tax dollars on posting mile marker signs on roads ( which were unneeded) and making signs touting jobs created (making signs no less) and "green" programs that end up being unsuccessful, but will not fund the exploration of Mars which could benefit all mankind like the Moon exploration project did shows how short sighted the present administration is....We need to redirect our budget towards the right things and stop allowing it to be wasted for political purposes.

Think about how things have gone for the last 3+ years - $4 a gallon gas ? Unemployment ? People losing their homes ?? Are you really interested in 4 more years of that crap ?

The only way to correct this is easy to see......OMG - Obama Must Go.

" I find your lack of faith disturbing..." - GPS with STAR WARS voices now in a galaxy not so far away....

This is where the tech goodies we have become fun.

I would want to have OBI WAN guiding me on a GPS as when you rolled into some place like Las Vegas, the GPS would say, " Mos Eisley Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."

NOW
that would be cool.

Lost? May Yoda and Darth Vader guide you
August 2, 2011 LA TIMES

To the closest Starbucks you wish to go? Let Yoda be your master.

This week Garmin, maker of the popular line of personal navigation devices, adds the Jedi master and Darth Vader to its voice lineup.

The voices of Yoda and Darth Vader are available for download on Garmin's website, and will cost users $12.99 apiece. Yoda delivers his directions in his own unique grammatical style, saying things like, "Proceed to the highlighted route, your destiny, it is" and "Right you should turn, then sharp left . . . control, control, if a Jedi you wish to be."

When Yoda's froggy voice starts getting on your nerves, you can download Darth Vader's low, half-robot voice with just a hint of an English accent. He'll give you directions with a dose of evil attitude.

"Proceed as indicated," he says. "Don't make me destroy you." And "You have reached your destination. Impressive. Most impressive."

Both voices feature fully randomized dialogue, so you'll get to hear a variety of fun phrases from the "Star Wars" movies. The Darth Vader version also includes heavy breathing, the sounds of TIE fighters and light sabers, and John Williams' "Imperial March." The Yoda voice includes occasional sage interjections from Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Garmin released two videos that preview the new voices. May the Force be with you on your drive to your next destination

The FORCE runs strong with this STAR WARS Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

I can imagine the discussion that went on among the designers of this "Star Wars "inspired Lambo.....

General Tagge: What of the Rebellion? If the Rebels have obtained a complete technical reading of this Lamborghini, it is possible, however unlikely, they might find a weakness and exploit it.

Darth Vader: The plans you refer to will soon be back in our hands.

Admiral Motti: Any attack made by the Rebels against this car would be a useless gesture, no matter what technical data they have obtained. This Lambo is now the ultimate power in the universe! I suggest we use it!

Darth Vader: Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to tear up the highways is insignificant next to the potential of the Force.

Admiral Motti: Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerous ways, Lord Vader. Your sad devotion to that ancient Jedi religion has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes, or given you enough clairvoyance to find the rebels' hidden fortress...
[Vader makes a pinching motion and Motti starts choking]

Darth Vader: I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Governor Tarkin: Enough of this! Vader, release him!

Darth Vader: As you wish

The Force Is Strong With Star Wars-themed Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
www.autoevolution.com

The Jedi return to the automotive world, but this time the car that’s been gifted with the power of the Force is not the 2012 Volswagen Passat, but a 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago. The supercar has been wrapped in vinyl to give it a Star Wars theme for this year’s Gold Rush Rally 3. Que Darth Vader theme music.

We love the new look of the LP640, as it now sports a theme from the Clone Wars era. A Jedi Order crest has been added to the passenger side door, while the Galactic Republic/Galactic Empire ones are on the driver’s side. The overall look remind us of a trop carrier ship, with its laser machine guns an white paint, detailed with black panel lines.

On the roof, an R2 D2 head has been added, probably to aid with repairs if the Murcielago gets dinged in battles with starfighters. There’s a few mock-flapt on top of the rear wheel and machine guns pop out of just about every surface of the car.

An inscription of the passenger-side door jokingly says “Co-pilot: Golden Puss” and is accompanied by a logo that combines Hello Kitty and Darth Vader facial elements. With this last element, you can be sure the Lambo would be the pride of the Star Wars villain's supercar collection.

We’ll remind you that the LP640 Murcielago uses a 6.5-liter V12 engine that develops 640 hp at 8,000 rpm and 486 lb-ft (660 Nm) of torque at 6,000 rpm, pushing the supercar to the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in just 3.4 seconds.

Darth Vader: " I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further"...Pics from behind the scenes at " The Empire Strikes Back"

What is it about the Dark Side ? In many ways, the "bad boys" were the ones who got the girls...they always seem to be the ones who have the cool cars...being bad has a certain allure.

In the world of Star Wars, we all struggle with our inner demons as we see the Dark Side as having a strange attraction even as we cheer on the Rebellion.....

In the Star Wars saga, there are many who saw " The Empire Strikes Back " as the one Star Wars movie that was edgy... There is a pile of uncertainty in this middle movie of the original trilogy...Luke is on Degobah finding if he can be a Jedi...Han Solo is encased in Carbonite after being betrayed by Lando Carlissian....Lando is not sympathetic to the Empire, he is a victim of circumstance....Leia and Han realize that they do love each other....It is a time of deep uncertainty....

Although it lacks the pioneering "newness" of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back is in many ways a superior motion picture. The storyline is more interesting and ambitious, the characters -- little more than appealing types in the original -- are allowed to grow and develop, the special effects are more mature, and the tone is deliciously dark and downbeat..... In the first film, good triumphed decisively over evil; here, it's almost the other way around.

Thanks to Vanity Fair for sharing these great "behind-the-scenes" pictures....a peek into the Movie Magic from when I was enthralled to rush to the theater to see the newest "Classic" in cinema history...
