Raiders of the Lost Ark Diary surfaces

I guess they need to find out where Indiana Jones has been as the diary looks like Indy has been up to his old tricks. I always found the words of his good friend Sallah as telling of how there are mysteries that man has yet to figure out.......

SALLAH - (With a worried expression) "Indy... something bothers me."

INDY - "What is it, my friend?"

Sallah finds it hard to say. When he finally speaks, his words are accompanied by a strange, eerie, foreboding rush of wind through the courtyard. Just a coincidence we might suppose.

SALLA  -  "It is the Ark. If it is there, at Tanis... It is not something man was meant to disturb... Death has always surrounded it. It is not of this earth."

Finding the Ark of the Covenant would be the adventure of the century....maybe a clue is here in the sandbox somewhere.

Indiana Jones: Mysterious mail arrives at University of Chicago

The University of Chicago is grappling with a mystery today involving Indiana Jones, of all people.

According to the university’s admissions department Tumblr page, a package arrived at the university on Wednesday addressed to Henry Walton Jones Jr. Unsure where to put the package, the student office worker set it aside until someone realized it wasn’t intended for any actual student or faculty member, but a fictional character who in his story was once enrolled at the University of Chicago: Indiana Jones.

The character’s Wikia profile, compiled from information released about the character through the films, TV series, video games and supplemental novels, says he was a student there sometime in the early 1920s.

When the package was finally opened, the mystery grew. Inside was an apparently handmade re-creation of Abner Ravenwood’s diary. Ravenwood, for those not familiar with the Indiana Jones films, was Jones’ professor at the University of Chicago whose knowledge of the Ark of the Covenant set in motion the story of “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” Steven Spielberg’s landmark 1981 film staring Harrison Ford as the adventuresome archaeologist.

The book itself is a bit dusty, and the cover is teal fabric with a red velvet spine, with weathered inserts and many postcards/pictures of Marion Ravenwood (and some cool old replica money) included,” the admissions department wrote on its Tumblr page.

Some sleuthing on the part of the university discovered that the package had never actually been sent through the mail — the postage on the outside of the package was not real, even though it was dirty and scuffed as though it had been in transit.

So why did someone send this package here? Is it promotional? Is it an attempt to gain admission to the university? Is it some kind of art project?

The university is baffled and is soliciting help and advice, establishing an email address — indianajonesjournal@uchicago.edu — in order to get tips and insight.

A representative from Lucasfilm expressed bewilderment about news of the package. So it was not a misdirected bit of film promotion material.

" My son, we're pilgrims in an unholy land..."

Yes, I have traveled to tougher places ( Fallujah, Mumidiya and Baghdad Iraq; Herat, Qalat, Kandahar and Helmand Province, Afghanistan) but for this die hard New England Patriots fan, this trip represents going in to the " Heart of Darkness "...

I will be traveling to NYC for the next three and a half days on business. Normally, this would be an acceptable trip as it is where my company has the home office but this week is different.

The NY Jets, a.k.a. " The Guys We Beat like Rented Mules" in early December 45-3, along with their loud-mouth, foot fetish loving coach, will be coming back to Foxboro on Sunday to play the New England Patriots in Foxboro. It will be a great opportunity to teach them additional lessons in what Tom Brady and company can do....of course, there is always risk....No guts, no glory.

This will be " the game" to beat all games for this NFL Season....and for the majority of the week before the game, I get to reside in the opposition's city....pissa.

I will wear my New England Patriots Necktie for business meetings and wear my Red Sox lanyard which holds my company ID Badge.

Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil...
I'm ready for the NY Jets fans as I have plenty of smack talk waiting for them....just like last time as I was in NYC the week before the last game.

I'll send along updates as I can.
Reminds me of another scene......

[Indiana Jones and Professor Jones Sr. are trapped between a room on fire and a room full of Nazis]

Professor Henry Jones: "Our situation has not improved."

Somehow, I think I know how he feels....and not unlike the Dr. Jones Sr. & Jr., I know we will win the day and defeat our foes....
