Taking a break and having some fun?..Watching Obama taking a beating

Vacation has benn a non-stop sprint to get some things done and visiting people who I have missed. My Dad celebrated his 84th Birthday this week and that was worth the trip home alone. My Dad has always been the "rock" which all in my family as depended on for leadership.

I watched the debate last night and Obama got schooled. Romney took Obama out last night and the body language alone told the story. What a beat down!!

Next on the schedule will be " The Wedding of the Century" this weekend in Salem, MA. My sister in law will be getting hitched which should be a great time.....more to follow.

Romney a successful pro; Obama, a failed amateur

Recent polls have the presidential race in a near dead heat on votes, yet Mitt Romney continues to trail on “likability.”
It’s distressing that “cool and likeable” have become pivotal traits in a historical presidential election, traits not often associated with very successful people. Sadly, it has become obvious that irrelevant metrics and expansive government entitlements can trump clear thinking.
Maybe these voters will wake up when the economy’s tank goes dry and we fall into the Greece pit. The Obama campaign has done a desperate but effective job of personally demeaning a man who represents the American success story.
Do even the most dull and uninformed really believe that Romney could have achieved this level of success by debasing women, imposing his religious beliefs or killing jobs?
The only important fact is that our country is in the exact same place it was, and worse in some cases, as when Barack Obama took it over four years ago, without offering any new or credible plans to change it. In any other segment of life, who would give someone another shot after this kind of unashamedly failed performance?
Previous Obama supporters need to take the personal hit for being duped by a media-made amateur and save our children’s future.
You may not like your current bosses, but I’ll bet you appreciate what they are doing to maintain your way of life. Many voters don’t like Gov. Christie, but they like what he does.
Vote for the pro, not the amateur.

Trying to gin up as much money as possible for SLICK MITT as he feels in that manner he can buy the Presidency.....what a putz.

OBAMA is no better as he has been spending more time at fundraisers than working on fixing the country's economy.

We NEED BETTER candidates for the Presidency than SLICK MITT and the Empty Suit who is the White House now. Please Mr. & Mrs. American Voter - throw both of these empty-headed dunces under the bus, for the sake of our country and to show for once and for all that the Presidency of the United States is not about $$$ but getting the BEST person for the job.

Justice asked to probe mystery donation to pro-Romney group
Reform groups say $1 million from firm that soon dissolved itself could violate law

Two campaign reform groups are asking the Justice Department to investigate a mysterious $1 million contribution to a political committee backing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney from an obscure company that shut down shortly after making the donation.

The contribution to Restore Our Future, a so-called “super PAC” formed by three former Romney political aides, drew scrutiny following an NBC News report on Thursday . The firm that gave the money, called W Spann LLC, was formed in March – with no listed officers or directors — made the contribution in April, then dissolved itself in July, according to corporate records.

Fred Wertheimer, the president of Democracy 21, an advocacy group for campaign reform, said the contribution appeared to be “blatantly” designed to circumvent campaign disclosure laws. He said Democracy 21 and the Campaign Legal Center, another advocacy group that promotes greater transparency in election laws, will formally request an investigation into the donation on Friday.

“The apparent effort to keep secret the actual donor or donors of the $1 million may well be a violation of the campaign finance laws and this matter should be investigated by the Federal Election Commission and the Justice Department,” he said in a statement. .

The Justice Department and the Federal Election Commission both declined comment Thursday.

Charlies Spies, the treasurer of Restore Our Future, said the group would have no further comment beyond its previous statement to NBC News that the pro-Romney committee “has fully complied with all FEC regulations, including publicly disclosing donors on our July 31 report.”

It is illegal under federal law for political donors to make contributions in the name of another person – so called “straw donors” -- and such violations have been vigorously prosecuted by the Justice Department in the past, according to campaign finance experts.

But the federal campaign laws have been made increasingly murky as a result of the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision last year, which allowed corporations to spend unlimited amounts on political advocacy. That, in turn, enabled “super PACs” like Restore Our Future – and similar groups on the Democratic side -- to collect millions of dollars from companies and wealthy donors.

Wertheimer said the W Spann contribution “appears to be a straw donor transaction” because the real donor or donors were using a hastily created company to make the political contribution while hiding their identities. The argument could hinge, some campaign finance experts said, on whether W Spann LLC had any other business purpose – or was created solely for the purpose of donating the money to Restore Our Future.

Corporate records show that the person who registered the company in Delaware was Cameron Casey, an associate with the venerable Boston law firm of Ropes & Gray, who specializes in estate tax planning for “high net worth individuals.”

A Democratic political advocacy group, American Bridge, emailed a memo to reporters Thursday pointing out multiple connections between Romney and the law firm, including the fact that Ropes & Gray represented him in a challenge to his residency status when he first ran for governor of Massachusetts in 2002 and that one of the firm’s partners, R. Bradford Malt, was trustee of Romney’s blind trust when he ran for president in 2008.

The law firm has also represented Bain Capital, the investment firm once headed by Romney. Bain Capital is one of a number of blue chip firms located at 590 Madison Ave. in New York, the midtown Manhattan office building that W Spann LLC listed as its address in the campaign report filed last week by Restore Our Future.

A spokesman for Bain denied that anybody at the firm was involved in W Spann LLC. A spokesman for Ropes & Gray did not respond to request for comment from NBC News on Thursday.

Let's elect the best qualified President, not the person who raises the most money

A wise old Master Chief told me, " If you are making a decision and the main basis of that decision involves $$$, you are likely making a bad decision."

As any Sailor knows, you listen to the Master Chief as he will make sure you are on the right track.

So when I read that SLICK MITT ROMNEY is operating off funds from a SUPER PAC and I see who is supplying him the money (Foreclosure Mill Operators, Multi-level Marketers, hedge fund managers, and others who have no real care about the average working man), I know that SLICK MITT is not the person we want in the White House.

" Follow the money" was the key phrase from Watergate. The Doofus in the White House right now has lots of Fat Cats propping him up also. The idea that both of these simpletons, OBAMA and ROMNEY believe all they have to do is pile up enough cash and they can buy their way into the Oval Office sickens me.

And it should sicken you too. Let's elect someone who realizes it is not all about money but rather who is best qualified and will look out for the citizens interests, not the Fat Cats. That eliminates SLICK MITT ROMNEY and OBAMA as neither cares about you & me, regardless of what lies they spout.


PAC brings in $12.2 million for Mitt

A new Super PAC created to support Mitt Romney raised $12.2 million in the first half of the year entirely from high-dollar contributors and spent just over $22,000, according to a report to be filed with the FEC Sunday.

Restore Our Future, a group run by Romney officials from his 2008 bid, was funded exclusively by 90 wealthy donors, most of which have also given to the former Massachusetts governor’s presidential campaign account.

But with no limits on the contributions to such entities as Restore Our Future, the contributors were able to give huge chunks of money – not a single check was under four figures and most were in the five and six-figure range.

There are also no restrictions on how donors can give to the SuperPACs and three of the four $1 million contributions came from organizations instead of individuals.

Restore Our Future got $1 million each from “Eli Publishing” and a “F8 LLC,” both of which listed the same Provo, Utah, office suite. A records search reveals that the same address is also home to trusts set up by the families of Blake Roney and Steven Lund, executives at Nu Skin enterprises and major Romney contributors in the 2008 campaign.

Other givers were even harder to unmask. A “W Spann LLC” on Madison Avenue in New York City contributed $1 million, but it was unclear who was behind the contribution.

The only $1 million giver who put his name behind the contribution was John Paulson, a New York hedge fund billionaire who became famous for enriching himself by betting on the collapse of the housing industry.

Four individuals gave $500,000 each, including hotel magnate brothers J.W. Marriott Jr and Richard Marriott, the sons of the man Romney was named after – J. Willard Marriott Sr.

Also giving half-million were New York hedge fund manager Louis Bacon and James Davis, the Boston-based Chairman of New Balance shoes.

Renee Morse, who owns the Florida mega-retirement community The Villages, gave $250,000 and the company matched that amount.

Romney also got significant help from investors in Bain Capital, the private equity fund he used to run. Paul Edgerly and his wife, Sandra, gave $500,000 each and Stephen Zide contributed $250,000.

The wealthy Fox family in St. Louis – major bundlers for Romney’s presidential effort – gave the PAC $270,000.

Also notable was Texas homebuilder Bob Perry, who gave $500,000. While Perry, one of the leading Republican donors in the country, gave to the campaigns of Romney and Pawlenty, he’s among a group of wealthy Texans expected to support Rick Perry, should the governor get in the

Bob Perry (no relation) has been one of the biggest donors to Perry over the years, contributing at least $3.3 million to his campaigns.

All told, Restore Our Future brought in $12.231,700 for the first half of the year.

The PAC spent just $22,329.50, money that went to business licensing, legal fees and insurance.

“We’re proud of the support Restore Our Future has received from across the country,” said Charlie Spies, the group’s treasurer.

“These donors recognize Mitt Romney is the most experienced and qualified candidate to challenge President Obama’s record of out-of-control, big government spending which has led our country to a historic $14 trillion debt and near double-digit unemployment. As evidenced by our report, we will continue to keep costs to a minimum to ensure that our donors funds go to accomplish our main mission, helping Mitt Romney defeat President Obama.”

2012 Election tip - Steer clear of POLITICIANS who have written memoirs and manifestoes as it isn't about helping US, only themselves

I have little patience for self-serving political types that write memoirs that are nothing more than a pathetic exercise in " Why I LOVE ME " and other nonsense that they feel compelled to foist upon the world. Example in point on the DEM side of things is POTUS' two memoirs and the idiot Governor of Massachusetts' book that is so far down on the NY TIMES best seller list they had to dig a new subterranean category to list it. As if any hard working, tax paying, check earning citizen wants to try to parse through the drivel that these self absorbed fools put on paper.....give us a break, get over yourself and do the job we pay you for. Really.

Well a scribe from the LA TIMES dissects the other side of the political aisle and a number of the POLS over there that have done the same time-wasting exercise of trying to get us to read their drivel. Here is one of my favorite clips from this timely article:

The Romney we meet in "No Apology" is earnest, pedantic and, let's say it, dull. He's given to leaden statements of the obvious. "It is good for America to be strong," he advises. And: "To strengthen America's economy, we must minimize those things that retard economic growth and promote those things that accelerate it."

Wow....pedantic...no way....I was gobsmacked that the author is able to see what the rest of us know for a fact, only he left out pathetically desperate and pandering too.

Gingrich has 23 Books published....really. That makes him 23 times more unappealing as the rest of the POLS.

I was impressed that Rep. Michelle Bachmann didn't make the list of the self absorbed authors as she doesn't have a book all about herself....maybe there is a ray of hope for her after all.

All I know is that each of the people who are Presidential contenders for the office in 2012 and Authors (including the "empty suit in residence at the White House") have two things in common. Each of them is in LOVE with the sound of their own voice and have NO INTEREST in listening to the average citizen as all they really care about is themselves.

And that is the truth.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a politician seeking the presidency must be in want of a memoir.

The news from Washington — bickering over the debt ceiling, poor prospects for the economy — hasn't been uplifting lately. It's time for some beach reading.

And I have just the ticket. There's a whole crop of potential Republican presidential candidates who promise to lead us to a better tomorrow, and most of them have written books to spell out their visions, demonstrate intellectual depth and give their fans something to spend $29.95 on.

GOP wannabes Writing memoirs and manifestoes has become a rite of passage for politicians, a way to show that they're up to the job — so much that just one book won't always suffice. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Texas Gov. Rick Perry have each written two. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich wins the productivity prize, with his name on no fewer than 23 books, including eight novels. Even pizza mogul Herman Cain has promised a book this fall. If they hope to stand a chance in this field, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. better get busy.

As a public service, I took a pile of these literary works on vacation and dug in. (Now you know one more difference between Washington policy wonks and normal Americans.) And here's what I found:

In their own telling, all these politicians are fiercely patriotic, devoted to their families and humble.

And they're all deeply worried about the future of the country, especially if President Obama and the Democrats stay in power.

"They simply don't believe in America as it was shaped by the founders," warns Romney in his book "No Apology," and he's among the most moderate of the bunch.

Want something stronger? Try Gingrich. In "To Save America," he says Obama is running a "secular-socialist machine [which] represents as great a threat to America as Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union once did."

The Romney we meet in "No Apology" is earnest, pedantic and, let's say it, dull. He's given to leaden statements of the obvious. "It is good for America to be strong," he advises. And: "To strengthen America's economy, we must minimize those things that retard economic growth and promote those things that accelerate it."

Gingrich is at the opposite end of the emotional spectrum, furious and hyperbolic. "America is facing an existential threat," he warns in "To Save America." Obama "has presided over a political machine that has tried to impose on this country a radical left-wing agenda that is alien to American history and American values."

In between is former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty — no less conservative but less confrontational, at least back when he was writing "Courage to Stand" last year. In politics, he suggests, "You never want to punch when somebody's down. You want to win, but you don't want to destroy your opponent." In this year's Republican field, that measure of civility qualifies as Minnesota nice.

Then there's Perry, who's almost as angry as Gingrich. "We are tired of being told how much salt to put on our food, what kind of cars we can drive, what kind of guns we can own, what kind of prayers we can say … [and] what doctor we can see," Perry writes in "Fed Up!"

And, of course, Palin, who manages to sound both slashing and cheerful at the same time. "We have allowed the left, with its unconstrained vision, to convince us that America's current woes were caused by too little government involvement," she writes. "This is nonsense. We got into this economic mess because of misplaced government interference in the first place."

There's a long list of issues all these candidates agree on. "We need to have a more limited, more accountable government," Pawlenty writes.

"The road to success is lower taxes [and] smaller government," echoes Perry.

But once in a while, a bit of daring comes through, in this case from Romney: "Government can promote opportunity or it can crush it," he writes. "To a point, even taxes can foster opportunity." No wonder "tea party" adherents are suspicious.

They all want to repeal Obama's healthcare law. "It will destroy our nation's healthcare system," warns Perry. "This is not hyperbole."

Even Romney, who signed a healthcare law in Massachusetts that was one of the inspirations for Obama's plan, now agrees. "Obamacare is an unconstitutional federal incursion into the rights of states," he writes in a passage that he added to the second edition of his book. (The first edition, published when the healthcare law was still being debated, wasn't that tough.)

They all believe religious faith should be an explicit underpinning of politics. "Removing God from our conversations, our plans and our actions is not in the best interest of our country," writes Pawlenty, who laces his memoir with verses from the Bible. In her second book, Palin praises Romney for defending his Mormon faith during his 2008 campaign, and contrasts him with John F. Kennedy, who she says "seemed to want to run away from religion" in 1960. (Of course, Kennedy was trying to answer fears that a Catholic president would take orders from the Vatican.)

And they all believe defense spending is, if anything, too low. "Right now America is, based on its defense spending, well on the road to weakness," writes Romney.

"Defense spending is now being squeezed out of the budget because of the explosion in entitlement spending," Perry complains.

The choice for Republican primary voters next year, at least judging by the literary works of the candidates, lies within a remarkably narrow range. They won't be offered differing approaches to government, only different ideas about how hard and fast to pursue it.

If, after all that, you're still hoping for a recommendation on what book to take to the beach, here's this reviewer's bottom line:

Most readable: Sarah Palin, "Going Rogue."

Least readable: Mitt Romney, "No Apology."

Most difficult political tightrope act: Romney, "No Apology."

Most intriguing new author: Rick Perry, "Fed Up."

Most appealing life story: Tim Pawlenty, "Courage to Stand."

Most terrifying jeremiad: Newt Gingrich, "To Save America."

History has a way of repeating itself....back in the early 1970s, a pair of reporters were given a lesson in how to find out succinctly where the BS was coming from in any political organization....

Deep Throat: Follow the money.
Bob Woodward: What do you mean? Where?
Deep Throat: Oh, I can't tell you that.
Bob Woodward: But you could tell me that.
Deep Throat: No, I have to do this my way. You tell me what you know, and I'll confirm. I'll keep you in the right direction if I can, but that's all. Just... follow the money.

It's as simple as that. If you follow the money, you'll find out all the things that cause politics in our country to be screwed up.

Looks like history is repeating itself as the Presidential Race of 2012 is not being based on who is best qualified for the job, but rather, who can raise the most money.

The big question then becomes, " WHO is giving the Candidates the money and what does that mean if the Candidate in question gets elected??"

WELL presently the two biggest FOOLS in the race (Obama & Romney) are the ones collecting the largest donations from people who we really DON'T want to have access to the WHITE HOUSE.....example in point regarding SLICK MITT Romney...

Ask yourself this question, " Would I buy a used car from this man??" - If the answer is NO, then why would you trust him to run our Country ???


Romney fund-raiser lobbied for foreclosure firm
Fiorentino brought in $102,900

WASHINGTON - Mitt Romney has spent time on the campaign trail railing against high foreclosure rates, traveling earlier this year to one of the country’s foreclosure capitals, North Las Vegas, to bring the point home.

But as he has built his fund-raising machine, he has relied heavily on a man who has lobbied Congress on mortgage reform and antipredatory lending legislation that contained strict rules aimed at preventing another subprime mortgage collapse.

T. Martin Fiorentino Jr., who raised $102,900 for Romney, lobbied on the legislation on behalf of Lender Processing Services, a so-called “foreclosure mill’’ that was reprimanded in April by the government for “unsound practices related to residential mortgage loan serving and foreclosure processing.’’

In the world of political fund-raising, Fiorentino is known as a “bundler,’’ someone who solicits contributions for a candidate and brings them to a candidate’s campaign - in this case Romney’s - in one lump sum.

Romney has not released a complete list of his campaign’s bundlers.

But an ethics law passed in 2007 requires candidates to disclose any registered lobbyist who raises at least $16,000 for a candidate. Romney’s latest campaign finance report, filed on Friday, lists six lobbyist-bundlers who combined raised nearly $520,000 out of the $18.4 million Romney brought in over three months.

Of the lobbyists, Fiorentino raised the second largest amount, trailing only Patrick J. Durkin Sr., a managing director at Barclay’s Capital, who raised $167,800 for Romney.

The other lobbyists who are bundling money for Romney are Wayne Berman, a major GOP lobbyist at Ogilvy Government Relations whose clients include top oil and gas companies; David Beightol, a managing principal at Dutko Worldwide, a GOP lobbying firm that is run by longtime Romney adviser Ron Kaufman; Drew K. Maloney, a former staffer for then-majority whip Tom DeLay who is now at Ogilvy; and Judi A. Rhines, who cofounded the Rath Group, which is based in New Hampshire and is run by Romney adviser Tom Rath.

Fiorentino’s office referred requests for comment to the Romney campaign, which released a brief statement that did not address his role or whether it would release a more complete list of bundlers.

“We disclose all of the information about our donors as required by law and anyone who is interested can review it publicly,’’ said campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul.

President Obama’s campaign on Friday voluntarily released its list of nearly 250 big-dollar bundlers, and challenged Romney and others to do the same.

The Obama campaign does not accept donations from registered lobbyists.

The only other Republican candidate who filed a lobbyist bundler report was Tim Pawlenty. The former Minnesota governor reported one lobbyist: James E. Hyland, who founded the Pennsylvania Avenue Group, raised $17,610 for his campaign.

Fiorentino’s Jacksonville, Fla.-based firm, the Fiorentino Group, has been paid $180,000 by Lender Processing Services since late 2009, according to lobbying disclosure forms. The firm lobbied the House and Senate on the Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act.

The legislation, which was sponsored by Democrats, came in response to the subprime mortgage crisis and was meant to prevent lenders from making loans that borrowers would have difficulty repaying. It was approved by the House in May 2009, but wasn’t taken up that year by the Senate.

Much of the legislation ended up being included last year in the Dodd-Frank Act, a larger overhaul of national financial regulations.

Lender Processing Services is one of the country’s largest mortgage service providers, claiming to handle more than half of all foreclosures and providing services for more than 1,000 financial institutions. The company came under scrutiny after admitting last year that one of its subsidiaries, DocX, had been improperly preparing some of the foreclosure documents.

Fiorentino’s firm was listed as the company’s lobbyist on its most recent congressional lobbying disclosure form, filed in April.

On the campaign trail, Romney has sought to highlight the high foreclosure rate to critique President Obama’s handling of the economy. Several months ago, he traveled to North Las Vegas to meet with homeowners in a neighborhood beset by foreclosed-upon homes.

At the time, he didn’t address the crisis head-on, or propose any specific plan or legislation. Instead, he said, if more jobs were created, foreclosed homes would be repaired and property values would increase. But he largely criticized government intervention.

“The best thing you can do for this community is not to come here and give checks, to go around and give everybody a check. That doesn’t solve the problem,’’ he said. “The right thing you can do is to create jobs, and to make the environment of America the best in the world for job growth, for investment, and for the economic vitality we deserve.’’

I have serious reservations about anyone who would mistreat an animal, especially man's best friend, the family dog.

Well SLICK MITT Romney did just that on a family trip where he had to find room for all the items needed and decided that he could place the Family's Dog Kennel on the roof of the station wagon for a family trip.....The report from TIME Magazine is enclosed below.....

Sorry, if you show so little care for the family dog, I seriously question your judgement on all things especially being qualified for the Presidency of the United States. Obama is not the guy I want in the Oval Office either but SLICK MITT Romney is just as bad....they are a pair of Feckless Idiots who are in love with themselves and care very little about the rest of us.

Romney's Cruel Canine Vacation

The reporter intended the anecdote that opened part four of the Boston Globe's profile of Mitt Romney to illustrate, as the story said, "emotion-free crisis management": Father deals with minor — but gross — incident during a 1983 family vacation, and saves the day. But the details of the event are more than unseemly — they may, in fact, be illegal.

The incident: dog excrement found on the roof and windows of the Romney station wagon. How it got there: Romney strapped a dog carrier — with the family dog Seamus, an Irish Setter, in it — to the roof of the family station wagon for a twelve hour drive from Boston to Ontario, which the family apparently completed, despite Seamus's rather visceral protest.

Massachusetts's animal cruelty laws specifically prohibit anyone from carrying an animal "in or upon a vehicle, or otherwise, in an unnecessarily cruel or inhuman manner or in a way and manner which might endanger the animal carried thereon." An officer for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals responded to a description of the situation saying "it's definitely something I'd want to check out." The officer, Nadia Branca, declined to give a definitive opinion on whether Romney broke the law but did note that it's against state law to have a dog in an open bed of a pick-up truck, and "if the dog was being carried in a way that endangers it, that would be illegal." And while it appears that the statute of limitations has probably passed, Stacey Wolf, attorney and legislative director for the ASPCA, said "even if it turns out to not be against the law at the time, in the district, we'd hope that people would use common sense...Any manner of transporting a dog that places the animal in serious danger is something that we'd think is inappropriate...I can't speak to the accuracy of the case, but it raises concerns about the judgment used in this particular situation."

Ingrid Newkirk, president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, was less circumspect. As organizer of the Salt Lake City Olympic Games, Romney came under fire from some animal welfare groups for including a rodeo exhibition as part of the Games' festivities. At the time, he told protesters, "We are working hard to make this as safe a rodeo for cowboys and animals as is humanly possible."

Three Empty Suits....Would you buy a used car from them?? Probably not - So why would you bother to vote for them ???

Three-of-a-kind......Three Politicians who have been proven to talk out of both sides of their mouths, promise you anything to get your vote (no matter what the facts are) and are the three biggest proponent of mandatory health plans (ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL by the Federal Courts).....ALL three have shown themselves to be no more than an " Empty Suit ".

You wouldn't buy a used car from any of these three feckless idiots.....so why would you trust them to be in charge of our country??

Romney was elected Governor in Massachusetts and promptly went on the road to run for President....He was a no-show for his job and tried to sell himself to the country.....He failed.

Deval " Spend It All " Patrick has just reelected in Massachusetts (mainly by union supporters) and has started to follow the same pattern, shilling for POTUS instead of doing the job he was just re-elected for....another failure trying to sell himself and his buddy nationally.

Obama has been doing "on the job" training for the past two years and failing miserably.....and now he wants to say he deserves another 4 years.....Are you kidding me??? It is no surprise to me that his new slogan " Winning the Future" abbreviates as " WTF " because every time this fool opens his mouth, WTF? is the first thing I say after hearing his level of stupidity....another failure.

So, there we have it....Three Failures all tripping over each other to try and convince you and me they know better than us and should be trusted to be the one who is in charge of our Government.......Riiiiiiggggghhhht.

I just wish that these three DUNCES would just go do something else and leave the business of running our country to someone who is more qualified and can get the job done.

Right now, I would trust Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey more than any of these three fools.....We need someone who will look out for the average Joe, not the Unions and not the deep pocketed contributors.

The three fools pictured at the top of this post are not looking out for you.....only themselves and their big contributors.........

Give your vote and support to someone else - Tell all three of them to take a hike......

Straw Poll in NH shows that the GOP needs to find a Stronger Candidate for 2012 or they will be complicit in getting Obama reelected

NH Politics is something unique. The people of NH are a hardy bunch and take pride that they have the first real say in Presidential Politics.

A straw poll was held last night and it shows that the GOP has a looooonnnnggg way to go to find someone who can be a sustainable challenger to POTUS.

Not that POTUS is a strong candidate, rather it is because the field of GOP wannabees don't have any real strong candidates. The retreads like Mitt (But it's my turn)Romney and Gov. Tim (No, really - I'm the Governor from Minnesota) Pawlenty and Whack-job Ron Paul are a bunch of weak and tired choices that don't generate the excitement needed to run for the "Highest Office in the Land"

I mean, really, think about the idea of " President Huckabee " - That just doesn't SOUND good, the man's political views aside....I see people overseas laughing when his name is announced.....

The GOP needs to make a compelling case of why the candidate they push forward will be a better deal for the American public than staying with the idjit-in-charge that is there now.

All I can say is MITT ROMNEY ain't the person I want to lead the free world.....After you hear him give a speech, you feel like you need a shower as he comes off as a snake-oil salesman or worse....Take it from a guy from Massachusetts, you want to avoid having Mitt in charge of anything.

So far, the rest of the field looks pretty damn thin. That is not a good start to the next election for anyone, especially a country that needs to replace the person who is holding the office presently.

Recently, Massachusetts failed to replace Deval " Spend-it-all" Patrick during our elections.....In 2012, the voters cannot afford to repeat the mistake made by Massachusetts voters.



Romney Wins New Hampshire Republican Party Committee Straw Poll

In the first ever "straw poll" of New Hampshire Republican party committee members sponsored by ABC News and WMUR and sanctioned by the state Republican party, ex-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney took 35 percent of the 276 valid ballots cast. This is just 3 percent more than Romney took in the 2008 GOP primary, when he finished in second place behind Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

Coming in a distant second was Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, with 11 percent. Paul took 8 percent in the 2008 GOP primary.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who is spending the early part of next week in the Granite State, came in third with 8 percent.

In fourth place was ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has yet to visit the first-in-the-nation-primary state, with 7 percent.

This is by no means a scientific sample, but it was a good early canvass of the sentiments of the state's most active Republican voters.

The "straw poll" was open only to the 426 registered members of the Republican committee, and 65 percent of those commitee members participated.

The take away: Romney's still the solid frontrunner here, but there's plenty of room for another Republican to break through here. Pawlenty's showing was also impressive, given how new he is to the scene. He has, however, been working New Hampshire, as have his suporters.

The Republican committee members were also asked to pick the issue that was the "most important for the Republican nominee to focus upon":

Reducing the size of the federal government: 49 percent
Reducing the size of federal debt/deficit 15 percent
Stimulating the economy to create jobs; 14 percent
Repealing health care: 7 percent
