4th of July - At Home & Over There

The reports from the homefront today were as expected - The 4th of July went off as planned with parades, cookouts, festivities, fireworks and the Boston Pops played on the Esplanade for hundreds of thousands cheering 235 years of our Nation's Independence....

Meanwhile, the effort to fight those who would terrorize the innocent went on as usual also....While those back home enjoyed a summer ritual of cookouts and family get-togethers, brave men & women stood the watch in places far from home....

Brings to mind a quote from Lt. Galloway in the movie " A Few Good Men"

Lt. Weinberg: Why do you like them so much?

Galloway: Because they stand upon a wall and say, "Nothing's going to hurt you tonight, not on my watch."
